Central Heat does it again winning an Allowance Optional Turf Route at Golden Gate Fields. It marked career victory #18 for the 8 year old bay mare in 41 career starts. Trained by co-owner Bill Delia, Central Heat has now amassed career earnings of $453,619, mostly in Northern California. Out of the Smart Strike mare Miss Boomtown, Central Heat was bred by M.Auerbach, LLC. along with Barry Abrams, Kevin Matties and Bob Huston. The daughter of Unusual Heat is the full sister to multiple winners The Town Lady and Wicked Heat.

How Unusual with an impressive performance winning an Allowance NW2 lifetime at 1/8 miles on the turf at Santa Anita in a blistering time of 1:45.98. Trained by Michael Pender and ridden by Corey Nakatani, the 4 year old chestnut lass sat off of the pace, waited for room in the stretch and accelerated clear by 1 1/2 lengths for her 4th career victory in 18 lifetime starts. With the victory, stakes placed How Unusual now boasts career earnings of $242,367. How Unusual was bred by M.Auerbach, LLC. in partnership with Barry Abrams. She is by Unusual Heat out of the Veela, by Bartok- IRE. and has a full 2 year old sister named Nothing But Heat and a full weanling brother.
