The week of July 17-24 was a memorable one for Auerbach Bred horses as wins a good showings came all across the country. The most notable win was for Cheekaboomboom as he got up in the final strides to win a Cal-bred Allowance Race on the turf on Opening Day of the Del Mar Summer Meet. In the process, Cheekaboomboom, a son of Unusual Heat,

topped the $100,000 mark in career earnings for trainer Peter Eurton and owners Joe and Stephaine Ciaglia and Sharon Alesia. Other winners included Wicked Heat who notched his 2nd victory in a row in a claiming race at Penn National on Thursday July 20. Then on Friday July 21, Heat Flash won his 9th career race taking a starter optional at Canterbury Downs. Another notable performance was that of How Unusual who in her first race off of a lay-off just got passed at the wire and finished 2nd in a 2nd condition Allowance Race at Del Mar.
