Unusually Stylish and Spring Heat provided all the chills and thrills at Santa Rosa today with thrilling stretch drive victories over the firm turf course.  First came Unusually Stylish coming off of an 11 month layoff to break her maiden in Maiden Special Weight company.  The 4 year old chestnut lass broke expeditiously, was taken back, checked off of heels and then rallied in deep stretch for the half length margin of victory.  Trained by Blaine Wright for Hibiscuis Stables, the Barrett's Graduate is out of the Half a Year mare Style of The Year and is her 14 baby and winner by Unusual Heat.  Bred by M.Auerbach, LLC., Unusually Stylish now has a record of 3-1-0-0 and earnings of $20,970.

Not to be outdone, Spring Heat once again took a strong allowance field wire to wire to win at Santa Rosa.  The speedy 4 year old chestnut Coil filly out of the mare Heatology (Unusual Heat) was bred by M.Auerbach, LLC. and Barry Abrams and is conditioned by Cliff DeLima for GCCI.  The victory was the 2nd of 2018 for Spring Heat and the 9th of her career.  She now boasts a record of 25-9-7-2 and career earnings of $208,048.
