Dr. Dorr Makes A Grade 2 House Call

Fresh off of his first career stakes win and riding a 2 race win streak Dr. Dorr lived up to the expectations and romped home to a 7 1/2 length victory in the Grade 2 Californian Stakes at Santa Anita Park. Piloted by regular rider Joe Talamo, Dr. Dorr stalked the pace set by Soi Phet, took control at the 3/8 pole and cruised home for the dominant victory. In the victory, Dr. Dorr earned a career best Beyer Speed Figure of 108 and in the process stamped himself as a contender in the Handicap-Classic Division in California. It is the first graded stakes win for the 5 year old dark brown gelding and the 5th victory of his career in 11 starts.
